Wanted: Beta Readers for Martyr...the sequel to Meek
Christian Faith Publishing published the 2nd Edition of Meek. For fans who are awaiting the sequel...this 2nd Edition features a sneak peek of Martyr, Book 2 in the White Stones Chronicles with the first chapter.
I started writing the first book in the White Stone Chronicles, Meek in 2012. Last summer I self published it with Createspace. I've sent copies to England, India, Pakistan, Philippines, New Zealand, Spain, Indonesia and all over the US. Paul's mom and dad are evangelists who have been selling copies at churches where they preach the gospel. I haven't made any royalties yet but have given away many, many copies to anyone who's interested. I originally felt this book was targeting those who were lukewarm but surprisingly God has put it in the hands of several non-christians who were moved to write reviews that shock and amaze me. It motivates me to write and write and write.
This book is a simple story of God's love and grace in a small town following rapture. The main character is a pastor who watches his congregation rapture before his eyes. It's filled with spiritual warfare, hope, peace and how we live in the Lords' joy while the enemy tries to sabotage us.
Meek has received many good reviews on Goodreads.com/LaraGarno and at Amazon.com. If you liked Meek please post a review at either/both locations. Reviews are an important part of promoting this ministry of Christian fiction -sharing the gospel through reading/entertainment.
I still need several beta readers, who have time to read/review Martyr. I'll have the manuscript edited in May. In June, I'll provide proof copies (looks like the actual book) for those who participate in the beta reading. The purpose is to make sure all story lines connect, there is consistency and to catch any last errors. Additionally, I'll ask beta readers to post reviews to kick off this new book.
Martyr will be out August 1, 2017.
