Lost and Found

You know that feeling you get when you've lost something. It might be keys in the morning rush or a favorite garment left behind. There's an emptiness that leads quickly to fear. If something so small can cause such a feeling within us -what does loss of someone we love do to us? Maybe they walked out or passed away. Maybe they are still there but are cold and distant. Fear and anxiety are feelings that lead to the utter destruction of our faith. 

How many times a day do you feel fear? What is your heart and soul filled with? Is it filled with the love of Jesus? Is it filled with despair, loss, longing, and fear?

When you find yourself in this pit of negative emotions remember that there is no despair -no loss - no issue to large or too small for our Lord. He loves you and wants you to depend on him. 

Pray for your faith to grow. Pray for forgiveness of your sins. Pray for his peace to cover you -in the very moment where you find yourself lost to the flood of fear. Give God your heart and see what happens. What is lost will be found!

"3 So he told them this parable: 4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."
